Gail is a graduate of Kenyon College and the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She was admitted to practice in the State of Ohio in 1985 and the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio in 1986.
Formerly practicing as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor in the Office of the Solicitor in Cleveland, Ms. Hurd’s practice now focuses solely on Family Law. Ms. Hurd is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and will serve on the Professional Development Committee of this organization for 2010. She is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Center for Principled Family Advocacy.
Ms. Hurd concentrates her practice in Collaborative Divorce and Mediation. She is a certified Family Law Mediator. Ms. Hurd has completed advanced domestic relations litigation training at the Family Law Advocacy Institute sponsored by the American Bar Association. Ms. Hurd is very active in the Northeast Ohio Collaborative law community as well as being a very popular Parenting Coordinator throughout Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain and Geauga Counties.
Ms. Hurd formerly served as a member of the Executive Board for the Center for Principled Family Advocacy where she has also served on the Board of Trustees. Additionally, she served as the co-chairperson for the Cleveland Collaborative Practice Group whose mission includes advancing the awareness of the practice of the Collaborative Divorce process in the Cleveland area.
